First Presbyterian Preschool Board of Directors is comprised of church members and community members and leaders in the Salem community. These individuals have demonstrated expertise or a sincere interest in early childhood education and in the development of the academic, social, emotional and cognitive needs of preschool children. First Presbyterian Preschool continues to have a Christian-themed environment where students of varying backgrounds and differing needs may learn and grow together.

The preschool operates a half-day program five days a week for three-, four- and five-year-olds. A daily afternoon daycare is also provided for the children whose parents work or otherwise need afternoon childcare services. Parents can choose to have their child attend two, three, four or five days weekly. Operating hours are 9:00AM to 12:00PM for the morning preschool and 12:00PM to 4:30PM for the continuing afternoon childcare.
